Izumi Izumi is originally from Okinawa, Japan. She moved to the United States in 2007. She has been working in the dental field since 2019. She became interested in working in dentistry after she went on a medical mission trip with her church. Outside the dental office, Izumi enjoys hiking, cooking, knitting, and spending time with her husband. She also enjoys in volunteering and creating origami art. Izumi has been with Gilrain and Brooks since 2021.

Jenna Jenna is from Keswick, VA. She had enjoyed working in a dental office several summers while attending school and is now a part of our team. She also has a cosmetologist license and works with several animal rescue organizations having saved and found homes for many cats, dogs, cows and horses. In her spare time she enjoys riding horses, hiking and being outdoors, also spending time with her pets and hanging with friends and family.

Kim Kim has been in the dental field since 1994 and a registered dental hygienist since 2007. She has worked in all aspects of dentistry, and enjoys helping patients have a positive, informative, and comfortable dental visit. Outside of the dental office, Kim loves spending time with her husband, stepdaughter, twin sons, and their dog. Her hobbies include: bicycling, hiking, dancing, photography and cheering for the UVA Hoos!

Melissa I have been in the dental field since 2001, and I have been with Drs. Gilrain and Brooks since 2008. I am as passionate about my profession as I am about my home and family. Nothing is as important to me as my family, and that is how I look at all of our patients. I feel that my greatest ability is making people smile, so it's nice to come to work and make smiles happier and healthier every day!

Wendy Wendy is a native of Bergen County, NJ. She has been working with Dr. Gilrain since 1989 and Dr. Brooks since 1992 and helped them open their office in 2001. She has been Dr. Gilrain’s chairside assistant exclusively since then. Aside from a few years taken off to raise her family, she has been in dentistry for 44 years! Wendy’s patients are very important to her! She brings an extraordinary amount of skill and experience to her work and continues to love working in dentistry. She and her husband are motorcycle enthusiasts, traveling up and down the east coast on adventures. They love spending quality time with their two children and four grandchildren.

Margaret My name is Margaret Guerreri and have been practicing Dental Hygiene for 11 years. I attended the Medical College of Virginia and graduated in 2005. I am a native of Charlottesville as well as my family and decided to start my profession here because of them. I have an older brother who is married with a daughter and also a twin brother. In July of 2005, I started out working full time for two different dentists. I continued full time until I had my son Emmit in 2012. After some time off, I decided to go back working part time. For the past year now, I have picked up some temporary jobs. Temping is what brought me to the office of Drs. Gilrain and Brooks. After a few months, it led to a permanent position on Wednesdays. Having the flexibility of only working part time gives me the opportunity to spend time out in the real world as well as with my own family. In February 2017, we welcomed our newest addition, daughter Annabelle. I love working for a welcoming and family oriented practice such as this one.

Stephanie Stephanie started her career in the dental field in 1999 as a dental assistant. She furthered her education and became a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2001. She is committed to keeping your smile healthy through the latest periodontal and preventative treatments available. She loves her career and enjoys that she gets to work with so many amazing people, both patients and the team at the office. She moved to Charlottesville from Boise, Idaho, in August 2016 to be close to her husband's family. They have five amazing children between the two of them. When she is not at the office, you'll find her spending time with her family and exploring Charlottesville and the surrounding areas. She enjoys traveling, cooking, reading and attending her kids sporting events. Stephanie is here to help you achieve your dental goals.

Jenne Jenne has been in the dental field for 27 years. She has worked for Gilrain and Brooks, DDS since the practice was formed in 2001. She has taken many continuing education classes to further her expertise in the office. She loves every aspect of dentistry and her vast knowledge of insurance filing and treatment presentations is what makes her so helpful to our patients. Jenne is also the past President of the Charlottesville Dogwood Festival. She loves the community in which she lives and believes in doing everything she can to help make it a better place. Jenne is married to her husband Travis, and has two children, Andrew and Addison.

Jo Jo is a lifelong resident of Charlottesville who settled in Greene County near the Mountains. She has enjoyed greeting people and scheduling appointments in dental offices for over 15 years. She joined the Gilrain and Brooks team in 2012 and loves helping people any way she can by taking care of their dental needs. She is the first friendly face our patients see when they walk in the door. Besides work, Jo enjoys working outdoors, camping, going to car shows and hanging out with her kids and family.
