Digital x-rays contain far less radiation than traditional x-rays. They are taken with a small, flexible sensor placed in your mouth. The image goes directly into your computer chart, where it can be enlarged or edited for maximum clarity. They allow for quicker imaging (improved patient comfort) and better diagnosis.
Intraoral cameras allow us to take photographs of conditions in your mouth and view them immediately on the computer screens in our operatories. We can share the images with patients in the treatment rooms. Intra oral images are an invaluable tool in helping us diagnose problems and educate our patients about their needs. Many insurance companies now require us to send a photo in addition to an x-ray in order to provide certain dental benefits.
Where appropriate, we can use the newest formulation of high strength, high translucency, high quality zirconia. These crowns are designed and milled using precision CAD/CAM technology. Extremely strong and virtually chip-proof, these new ceramics can eliminate unsightly metal margins, have improved esthetics, vitality and are glazed to a smooth surface to reduce plaque accumulation.
Information about your teeth and your dental health, including x-rays, photos and scans, are entered into your computer chart. This gives our staff easy access to all of your information and if necessary, allows us to share your information with other healthcare specialists quickly and securely, via our encrypted email system.
Our automated messaging system allows us to communicate with our patients via email, text and phone. You let us know the best way to contact you, and our system automatically reminds you of your appointments and allows you to confirm them. It also allows us to send out group messages and notifications of changes in the schedule. If you email treatment sensitive questions, we can respond via encrypted email so that your information remains private and secure.
